The island - there is grass, and a Hala tree on the island that birds and turtles like to go to. There are bugs there that the birds can eat and it is a place for both turtles and birds to rest away from humans because we are not allowed to go on the island.

In the Lily Pond (the water) – that is a niche that the turtles and fish live in. That is were the turtles can swim around in to get nutrients from the water. Also, the fish swim around in there and also get their nutrients from there and that is were they fight for their food because they don't get fed daily so they need to find their own food.

Lily Pads – there could be flies or mosquito’s that live on the lily pads and that also could be home to bacteria

Competition is seen inside of the lily pond. The fishes and turtles all live in the water and they interact with each other everyday when the turtles go swimming with the fishes. They are always interacting with each other and they both share the food that they have inside of the pond which is showing that there is competition. If they don't compete for their food then they aren't gonna get any food to eat.

The bigger fish could be like natural selection because female fish may rather mate with a bigger fish or stronger looking fish than a smaller wimpier wish.

In my ecosystem, the first thing that I notice is the hala tree in the middle of the island. That is part of the carbon cycle in my ecosystem because during the day, it is going through photosynthesis which is taking in Carbon Dioxide and giving off oxygen but during the night, it cant do photosynthesis so it only respires which means it gives of Carbon Dioxide so its putting back the carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Also, the fish and the pond are apart of the carbon cycle. The pond itself absorbs Carbon Dioxide from the sunlight and at night, it respires and gives off Carbon Dioxide. The fish, take the oxygen from the water and give of Carbon Dioxide, like a human, and that adds to the Carbon Dioxide that the Pond is respiring at night.
